Support production processes with troubleshooting and nonconformance resolution

Organizes and directs manufacturing/assembly efforts on assigned program

Perform activities in a variety of areas related to the daily operations of manufacturing including scheduling, monitoring and status of program requirements, trouble shooting and resolution of part and process issues, and process improvement actions

Meets program schedule within time and budget constraints

Ensure close coordination between day shift and night shift to provide seamless manufacturing processing between shifts

Creates, understands and drives continuous improvement of performance metrics

Ensures all personnel comply with training requirements, work standards, policies, and procedures

Interact with engineering and internal customers to provide exemplary service

Provide training and direction to team members

Works proactively to ensure every operator is current with all training requirements

Develops teamwork and motivates members through setting of clear expectations and recognizes and rewards outstanding performance

Coordinates with other supervisors, leads, and managers to obtain maximum use of resources

Plans for manpower and equipment needs

Interfaces with customers and government personnel

Establishes and monitors conformance with production specs, procedures, schedule and safety

Certifies quality of completed work on aircraft components and oversees the certified operator stamps for the MA area

Responsibilities for mechanical assembly

• Set the highest ethical standards for self and others
• Business or Technical Bachelor degree + 2 years aircraft modification supervision experience in a manufacturing environment
• With Associates degree, must have a minimum of 6 years aircraft modification experience in a manufacturing environment, 4 of which must be exempt experience
• With H/S or GED, must have a minimum of 10 years aircraft modification experience in a manufacturing environment, 4 of which must be exempt experience
• Requires the ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, T.O
• Must be able to become certified to operate self propelled vehicles such as forklifts, scissor lifts, boom lifts, and aircraft tow vehicles
• Must be eligible access ITAR controlled items and/or articles
• Must be able to work weekends, overtime and other shifts as required
• Main Build – Installing the Engine build into acoustic enclosures or onto open base frames
• Must pass measurement test

• Must have some experience reading prints
• Must be able to read a tape measure, use hand tools, and follow basic directions

Responsibilities for mechanical assembly

• With limited supervision, trouble-shoot basic mechanical and electrical problems on sub-assemblies and the main machine assembly
• Install kits or single machines in production
• Read basic blueprints, bills of material, and various technical manuals as required
